CRA Houston Blood Drive

Since August 2007, the CRA Houston Office has partnered with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to hold quarterly blood drives. During our most recent drive we did things a little differently.

An employee had brought to our attention that their friend's little girl, Layla, was fighting cancer and would need blood transfusions as she went through her treatments. Since the blood center allows you to allocate your donation as a credit for someone you know who will need blood, CRA employees, as well as our neighbors, Test America, came together to provided a total of 19 donations.

Three of these were double red blood cell donations and four were red cell plasma donations; this increased the number of blood 'products' to 26! All 19 donations were assigned as credits for Layla's fight against cancer. The Houston office looks forward to another successful Blood Drive in the fourth quarter!
